Wrinkles on the face are caused by a wide variety of factors. As we begin to age our body’s ability to produce elastin and collagen decreases and the skin our face begins to sag and fall prey to the pull of gravity. You will find that skin that is thinner, such as skin found around your eyes, is prone to wrinkles faster to the skin that is thicker.
Certain lifestyle choices can contribute the facial wrinkles. Smoking, exposure to the sun, alcohol consumption, and drug abuse can cause mild to severe facial wrinkling. Although environmental factors contribute to facial wrinkles, genetics also play a role in the development of facial wrinkles.
Now you can turn back the hands of time and fight back against unsightly wrinkles thanks to the Obagi Skin Health! A must have for anyone wishing to say good-bye to wrinkles, the ZO Skin Health Ossential Radical Night Repair Plus will accelerate cellular turnover while you sleep using a potent concentration of retinol. As you use the ZO Skin Health Ossential Radical Night Repair Plus, older skin cells will rise to the surface and exfoliate. The resulting effects are that your skin will look younger, healthier, and more beautiful. You can find this and other great Obagi products available at Skin Gift.

If you are 40 years old or older, you most likely enjoyed your younger years basking in the sun without a care in the world. Trips to the seaside, lake, or backyard pool were likely the mainstay of your summertime vacation fun. If you’re over 40 years old, it’s highly unlikely that you knew much information about applying any type of sunscreen to protect your skin. If you are female, there’s a good chance that you used baby oil (gasp!) to obtain that perfect summertime glow!
So now that you are over 40 years old, your skin is paying the price for the sins of yesteryear! Countless hours basking in the sun has likely left your skin with “liver spots”, otherwise known as “sun spots”. You can find these brown-black spots on your face, shoulders, back, forehead, back of your arms, and back of the hands.
Now is the time to fight back against those unsightly liver spots with the Obagi Nu-Derm Sunfader. This amazing formula will lighten freckles, age and liver spots, and provides SPF protection from the sun’s harmful rays too. You can find the Obagi Nu-Derm Sunfader and many other skin changing Obagi products available at Skin Gift.

Vitamin C, otherwise known as ascorbic acid, was first recognized as an important nutrient in the 1700’s. It was at that time that British soldiers who were at sea were diagnosed with a nutritional deficiency called scurvy. It was then discovered that due to the lack of fresh fruits and vegetables available to the men, scurvy, which makes the connective tissues of the body defective, occurred.
Scientific results of consuming food products that contain Vitamin C reveal that it is one of the 13 vitamins that are essential for your health and well-being. There are many types of foods that you can enjoy that contain good levels of Vitamin C. All varieties of peppers have high levels of Vitamin C. Kale, oranges, peaches, black currants, kiwi, pineapple, papaya, and strawberries are among some of the fruits and vegetables you can eat that are rich in Vitamin C. Although fruits and vegetables are your best sources of Vitamin C, other foods such as breakfast cereals are fortified with Vitamin C, so it’s easy to obtain your required daily allowance.
Vitamin C is not only good for your body; it’s also good for your skin as well. As we age, our skin loses collagen. Skin care products that include Vitamin C are scientifically shown to help reduce wrinkles and fine lines and help your body naturally increase collagen production. The Obagi Professional-C Serum contains Vitamin C and has been proven to stimulate collagen production and neutralize skin-damaging free radicals. You can find the Obagi Professional-C Serum available in four different strengths at Skin Gift.

Skin cells give your skin color by releasing a substance called melanin. When your skins cells become unhealthy or damaged, the melanin production is affected. Sometimes the pigmentation of your skin is affected in patches and other times, your entire body is affected, depending on the pigmentation disorder that you have.
When your body produces too much melanin your skin will become darker, which is called Hyperpigmentation. Exposure to the sun will darken skin that is already Hyperpigmented. Other conditions such as Addison’s disease and pregnancy can cause Hyperpigmentation. If your body produces too little melanin your skin become lighter in color, which is called Hypopigmentation. Lightening of the skin can be caused by blisters, burns, trauma, or infection. Vitiligo or Albinism are also causes for Hypopigmentation.
In today’s world of beauty queens, glamour magazines, and Hollywood celebs, it’s no wonder that the change in appearance caused by pigmentation problems can affect a person’s emotional and psychological well-being, especially for women.
Skin Gift has several products specifically designed to help address pigmentation issues. Contact our skin care consultants to find information about our skin brighteners for the face, neck and chest for all skin types.
