There are all different standards of beauty, but certain things are considered universally attractive. Along with healthy, smooth skin, long, thick eyelashes are admired by everyone.j1000_m

If yours aren’t looking their best, there are products that can give you the lashes you’ve always dreamed of. Skincare leader Obagi Medical, has just introduced a new eyelash enhancer, ELASTILash, designed to make lashes thicker and fuller.

Jan Marini’s research team has come up with Marini Lash, which uses a proprietary peptide to enhance lashes.

Both ELASTILash and Marini Lash are non-prescription and neither uses prostaglandins, which have caused irritation and pigmentation in other products.

They are both tested for allergies and sensitivities. You can use them on both eyelashes and eyebrows. Both will give you the thick, luscious lashes you crave in just a few weeks!

Satiny, Smooth Skin

Winter can bring dull, dry, rough skin not just to your face, but also to your body. To get the silky, glowing skin you want you need a lotion with anti-aging ingredients.

Moisturizers are great, but there are products today that can actually help your skin stay young.rejuvenative-moisturizer-1

Zo’s Oraser Body Emulsion contains emollients, ceramides, acids, and retinols for the most unique and effective body product on the market. Lactic acid gently resurfaces the skin and removes rough patches.

Retinol is the most effective anti-ager on the market and works just as well on the body as the face. Co-enzyme Q10 restores enzymes that fight signs of aging. Oraser has a light refreshing scent and glides right into the skin without being heavy.

Skin Medica’s TNS Body Lotion also uses anti-aging ingredients. They also use retinols as well as their patented TNS formula.

TNS is a naturally produced mix of growth factors and proteins that stimulate collagen production. Our production of collagen slows down with every year we age and TNS is proven to restore this.

Hyaluronic acid is used to restore moisture. HA molecules can hold up to 40 times their weight in water and actually can pull water from the atmosphere.

Today’s new medical grade ingredients can give you the satiny, smooth skin you desire.

Stressed Skin?

If your skin is looking bad, it could be from stress in your life. Your skin is the largest organ in the body and is connected to your mind and body.

Nerve endings are connected to the skin, so emotions can affect the skin itself. Acne, rosacea, eczema, and fever blisters can all be triggered by stress. Histamines that are released under stress can cause itchiness and inflammation.

When you are stressed, the body releases cortisol which in turn increases oil production. Increased oil can lead to acne flare-ups. Chronic stress can block the production of estrogen. This can allow the male hormones, androgens to take over. Androgens have been shown to be a cause of acne breakouts.

By reducing stress you can decrease the activity of stress hormones and chemicals. Less stress can also decrease blood vessel activity so you have less flushing and blushing.

You can reduce stress by following common sense lifestyle choices. If you’re feeling stressed, take long, deep breaths and exhale slowly. You literally fool your body out of its fight or flight response.

Exercise and eat sensibly. Avoid smoking or too much alcohol. Make sure you get at least eight hours of sleep a night. Take time out for yourself so you don’t get overwhelmed with responsibilities. By taking care of your body you can bring your skin back to glowing health.
